    Who's doing the Jango?

Dan put me onto Jango about a week ago, and it's rather excellent. It's now on whenever I'm at the PC working. The basic premise is that you add all of your favorite artists to a list, and it randomly streams all of their material. You can rate songs to adjust how often they might play, or even bar a song from you jukebox entirely. It has a 'recommendations' list too, with artists that might match your taste.

But the niftiest feature is that it automatically slots in a random song from upcoming artists as well as established ones that align with your list of selected artists - so it serves as a great music discovery tool. With upcoming artists, you can "make or break" them by ensuring you never hear from them again, or leaving comments with praise - even subscribing to their mailing list if you wish.

Thats what I was thinking too, I'll give it a whirl.
GU - giving everyone the freedom to post whatever they want...
so long as we can all pay them out if they missed an earlier thread on the same topic!

Yes - but last.fm doesn't work inside our work's restricted network.

AND from what I'm reading on their site:

Just a reminder, your free trial of Last.fm Radio will end after you’ve played 30 tracks. Enjoying it? Subscribe for only $3.00/month
    Whereas Jango is free.

I wouldn't mind the cash part so much if it was better - but the fact it just plain doesn't work is a bit of a killer

3 bucks a month for last.fm is hardly a crime for the service. If I wasn't a happy last.fm subscriber I'd probably give jango a try. However, if money is your deciding factor I'd get in quick. Good things don't run on wishes.

Fees. Use of the Jango services is currently free of charge but may not always remain that way. You acknowledge that Jango.com reserves the right to charge for the Jango Services and to change its fees from time to time in its discretion. If Jango.com terminates your Membership because you have breached the Agreement, you shall not be entitled to the refund of any unused portion of subscription fees.
