I got one and using it as an external boot hard drive for server 2008 r2.

Its really good. Its really the best of both worlds. You get loads of gb and a speedy hard drive but it still doesn't beat a pure SSD.

Some reviews show that this hard drive is faster than a raptor harddrive so thumbs up from me. Need any more info just ask and i'll be happy to answer

Just what I want to hear Joshuayu101, I just can't justify a SSD due to the price and you can pick up a 500Gb hybrid for around $200, I'm thinking two of them in raid 0 should give some nice performance and plenty of storage, kill two birds with one stone.

I have been thinking of stocking SSD's for a while but there really is no market for them so after a bit of testing with the hybrid's I grab a few for stock.

I think these drives will start to dominate once there is a bit of competition and they start shipping in notebooks and desktops or until SDD's come down dramatically in price. I hope to hear some more good reviews.

Can't find 3.5" drives in Aus... I've got doubts about getting a 2.5" for my desktop.

Not really much different to using a 2.5" SSD, if any thing they just look silly.

I should get mine today, I will report back there up and running.

But the 3.5 drives are also the only 10,000 rpm ones.

Well the drives are in and Windows is installed and hell yeh, these drives are fast. I haven't had the pleasure of a SSD to compare against but they are quick.

Windows installed in 11 minutes and boots in 22 secs. Everything opens in the blink of an eye. Fuck solid state and it's ridiculous pricing.
