Good News Node people... (from WP)
I'm going to interrupt this discussion of home Internet demographic usage trends to post a brief response to the first post in this thread.
PONR writes...
Due to the recent iiNet plan announcements there are many of us assuming that Internode will eventually have a response.
Despite having only just revised its plans a few weeks ago, Internode will indeed respond commercially to various significant changes in the marketplace since then.
We're currently waiting on some answers to important and relevant questions from various suppliers over the next few weeks, before we can fully determine and release our next plan revisions.
For various hopefully obvious reasons (and some less obvious ones), discussion of specifics of what is coming up won't be provided from Internode here in this thread.
So I suppose this makes this a speculation thread, not an informative one.
When we're ready, we'll 'just do it' ? as we did with the previous round of changes (not so very long ago).
That seemed to work better than previous periods when we provided some hints, as all the hints seem to do is lead to sad people, when their particular incorrect extrapolations don't turn out to be the right ones.
What I will say, however, is that our response will be substantial, and that the changes concerned will be significant ones.
We now return you to your normal conversation.
Regards,
Simon
GU - giving everyone the freedom to post whatever they want...
so long as we can all pay them out if they missed an earlier thread on the same topic!
So my 240GB Node plan just dropped from $150 to $100, now I'll likely be bumped from 240GB to 500GB. Lovin' it.
Time to build that 50TB server.![]()
I don't thinkso hey. It is cause their Easy plans are only on their optus / agile dslam's anyway. However J we will just wait till nextgen networks finishes their fibre rollout to Darwin and they will probally install DSLAM's here in Cas/Nightcliff exchanges.
As they have started installing DSLAM in Alice Springs.
