So you tear the cotton wool off them and wrap them in barbed wire? Nice.
I do agree with rec to a point though. It is rather amusing. I'm a bit of a fan of the odd lashing.
But given that this is obviously a community that needs to grow, I think it's counterproductive a lot of the time. You're like the forum bully... lol
Back on topic, I can't get past the no multitasking on this thing. It's ridiculous that I can't even have a messaging application open whilst surfing the web (for example). I look forward to seeing the competition. There's no doubt that it looks pretty though. Impressed with the fact it's so lightweight. A higher resolution screen would be nice though. Same negatives as the iPhone I guess...
I don't give a rats arse what you think about it, Pala - you're not to be trusted, you own a bloody Apple TV.
I'm talking about commercial success and critical acclaim. The same measures we use for most hardware.
No, the iPhone really was shit when it first came out. Like, being an internet device with 2G speeds. It still sold like hot-cakes but was getting a hugely mixed back of initial reviews because of idiotic design decisions, like that one.
It was still by any definition a commercial success, and you can't criticise a device for not doing something it never claimed to do.
C'mon... really now. The iPhone is a piece of shit bit of hardware. The touch aspect of the screen is its only saving grace, at least hardware wise.
The content of the app store... now that is impressive. Without that store, the iPhone would be a failure.
Mac laptops on the other hand are quite nicely built and thought out bits of hardware.
The iMacs are nice as well, as long as you don't mind your PC catching on fire now and then...![]()
Will it be like the iphone and have a second version 6-12 months after release that fixes some of the major shortfalls of the original?
No multitasking on any such device would be a simple deal breaker for me - I may not be the target market however.
Yes, I do know it's the internet. No, that doesn't mean spelling and punctuation are illegal.
