    ok thats all well and good that it might look like a plane, but that would only be from a particular angle - any deviation would kill the illusion.
    so if they walked around to look at it from elsewhere how is it they didnt see it wasnt a plane?

    Meh... What a waste of fuel that was... Would have blipped on the radar in any case.
    Typical case of bureaucracy gone mad. At least it was only one helicopter and only two for a short time.
