Thread: Best games for PS3

Hey guys I'm gonna be getting a PS3 soon (finally). And I'm trying to decide what to get for it!I'm already set on MGS4, that's the main reason I'm getting the system. Say supposing I only want to spend the money on two or three others, what should I get?Not in to sports games. And I already got MW2 and GTA4 on PC.Go ahead and throw em out there; I'd love to hear some 'unknown' awesome games for PS3 as well, not just the big hits.Thanks in advance!

Uncharted 2 received a bunch of Game of the Year awards, and is arguably one of the best games on the platform. That should definitely be on your list.

Need for Speed Shift impressed me quite a bit on the PS3, I rather enjoyed it because it was quite similar to Gran Turismo in game play style, with the touch of NFS of course. Not sure if anyone else has the same opinion as me, but as a racing game is really fun.

Little Big Planet was fun

Just bough darksiders, about 5 hours in really enjoying it , smooth and pretty action adventure

Chose Bayonetta, was down to a coin between it and Darksiders.

MGS4 is great.

As others have said Uncharted 2 is amazing. Some other great games are
Killzone 2 (fps) - Looks amazing has a good single player and great multiplayer.
Valkyria Chronicles (srpg)

Demon Souls a really hard action RPG and has received a heap of awards this year aswell. Haven't played it myself and you would have to import it.

Maybe Heavenly Sword if you like GoW style games.

The Ratchet and Clank games if thats your thing and Little Big Planet .

Ohh theres a heap of games on PSN as well. Most importantly get Flower looks amazing and theres nothing else like it

I want to buy bayonetta as well, but there is onje major issue stopping and that is the main character, I could not stand listening to that english im so fantasic shit for more than 5 mins before I want to throw the control at the tv. I also rate heavenly sword is also good fun.

Bayonetta's not very polished and I'd say the style is a lot like Ninja Gaiden, if not almost identical.

Okay remember how you'd sit around playing fighting games to try and get those massive combos going.
