It takes like a month for them to do one car. but it'll be worth it. it'll be the best i can feel it.

It doesn't take them a month for each car. If that was the case, the game wouldn't be realeased for another 75 years, given there are 1000 cars.

A real driving simulator requires many, many months of work for a single car (see iRacing and Live for Speed). Which is why there are so few cars in those sims, but why they're so spot-on.

    Seriously. Myth.

It's all marketing. I actually don't think it will be released for this generation. Another f*ck up.

Regardless, I have very little hope it'll actually wind up something that gets critical acclaim. If it's anything like GT5 Prologue... fail.

The cruel truth is that, from someone who played through GT1, 2, 3, 4 and Forza 1, 2 - I can tell you which is the better game. I just don't want to have to buy another f*cking Xbox, because that also means I'll have to buy a compatible racing wheel (Driving Force GT for my PC only works with PC/PS3).

i dunno if they are any good or not but the microsoft branded wireless steering wheels are extremely cheap, i have seen them for as little as $139

So it doesn't take them a month for each car. If they're doing a shitload of them at a time (which they would need to if they're going to have 1000 cars in 6 years of development along with everything else to create a game), then there's no dedication to a single car for a 'month'.

It's like me saying a website takes me a month to design and build. Which is does, but that's because we're working on numerous during that period.

What I was saying, is that a 'real' simulator actually does dedicate months to a single car.

For those that haven't heard, possible demo in December (purely rumour). Probable March release for Japan, then aiming for "summer 2010" for USA. Which means Juneish at earliest.

The demo isn't a rumour and is out on the 17th.

Its one new track that hasn't been shown yet. More info is here
The GT5 Demo and GT Academy 2010: What We Know.

For those that haven't been following the game it has March release for Japan and the EU/US versions will be completed by then as well. It was however left up to Sony's marketing on when to release it.

Considering GoW3, FF13, Heavy Rain, MAG and Bayoneta all release in those few months it looks like it will be released later

More details that have been confirmed since Gamescon
Night races (no idea if its for every track)
    Brand new physics engine
    Much improved AI
Damage is much better then whats been shown
Some cars have had a poly bump to over 400k

They have also said there is a working weather system but don't know if it will be in game.
    Track editor is rumoured
