The quality of the games on the PSN is typically better then other places, especially if you want games that are more out of the box. Also Resistance 2 probably has the best multiplayer interface out of any console game, If ya want an arcade fps its really good online it wouldn't hurt to try R2 out.

LittleBIGPlanet is one of the most enjoyable/fun games I've ever played.

i have both, and the ps3 just sits there gathering dust till i wanna watch a blu-ray that i havent already bought on hd-dvd for cheap cheap.

except for mgs i havent seen any exlusive titles on ps3 that interest me, and all other games i would much rather buy on 360 - better controls, cool achievements, and msn support ingame.

That was a big thing for me - the Xbox 360 controllers are the f*cking bomb.

And Tekken going multi-platform only aids my games argument.

Well here's are my selling points for you over the Xbox360 (which I own and despise)!

PS3 Pro's:
Has exclusive titles
Little Big Planet (a game unlike many others before it)
Resistance 2
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Media Streaming via TVersity is much better done on PS3 than Xbox360
You're a freak at Linux so PS3 is a good way to go for you! As you can install Linux
Free PSN (Playstation Network)
PS3 games are Region Free!!!
Has the most interactive multiplayer game: HOME
Blu-Ray will over-see DVD (just as DVD has done with VHS)

Future Wise - Online Movie Rentals and Purchases
Online music and music video (purchases included)

PS3 Cons:
SCEEurope take forever to release games
PSN Europe take forever to do anything (though soon to be rectified)



Xbox360 Pro's
Able to copy games and include security tag's so Microsoft cant tell the difference between an origional and copy!
Has it's own list of exclusive titles (Halo, Gears of War, Fable 2 (though no difference than Fable))

Xbox360 Con's:
Get's VERY HOT, this includes ALL MODELS!
Old models and some of the first dispatch of the Elite have / get RRod (Red Ring of Death)
Media Streaming is not as simple.
Controllers are very large (though this is my personal thought)
Have to pay for XboxLive! Therefor have to Pay-to-Play online
HD-DVD is dead, Microsoft have no current or immediate future plans to impliment Blu-Ray

Let's face it; they're both good. If Knight's got the cash, I'd say get both. Otherwise, he needs to make a decision though, which I think is between media and games, and my opinion on which is better for what is already made clear.

look at it this way craig you own a 360 why do you really want a ps3 ?

its just money spending thats it... surely you have better stuff you could buy with the $500+

buy yourself more shares or HD 1080P monitor for your pc
