Please name a TV that has twin tuners. Then please name a TV that has twin tuners and a HDD? I rest my case.

I was more talking about a PVR (just like a PS3 with PlayTV)... but if you insist...

LG LCD Full HD TV?42LY3DE - LG Australia official site

    # Resolution: 1920 x 1080p
    # 160GB HDD Built-in
...so in regard to Chycophy's comment... no, most people don't have that, so there's good reason to purchase a PlayTV upon release.

Probably not, but as Mr Inferno says, PVRs will.
I've been doing this with SDTV for three years, and HDTV for about six months.
The fast forward through ads bit is a bit of a gimmick, as GI says you can only do it if you're behind live anyway.

Probably my favourite thing about them is no longer do I have to see if station X will do a replay of something I wanted to see again in a sporting event - I can do it now.

It will be great for there to be another product on the market - particularly if it means gaming also in the one product, but it's hardly new technology.

Now all there needs to be is someting decent to watch on free to air TV - and not six months after it's been available on the net.
Yes, I do know it's the internet. No, that doesn't mean spelling and punctuation are illegal.

Oh but there is... World Cup qualifiers, F1, and the occasional Crows game (that's literally all I use TV for, heh).

Yeah, sport is about all I watch on telly these day too.
    Pretty sad isn't it.

Not really... As entertaining as it can be, I've always thought watching TV was kind of a waste of time. I could be getting drunk, playing games, socialising, or even doing all 3 at once!

Anything I really want to see that's not sport I'll download (television shows/documentaries) or see at the cinema, which isn't really much the last half-decade.

Hahaha here's one for all you fag boys out there ... PlayTV will NOT (and I STRESS NOT) incorperate HD channel support on launch!!! Also when in use it will warn the user of potenital slow-down whilst playing a game.

So, who here is now still willing to buy the product at launch or prior to an update later down the track for HD channel support?!
Split a piece of wood and I am there, lift a stone and you will find me.

Yeah just read about that... the games performance is a no-brainer - anyone who expected full games performance while recording live TV to the same system, expected too much of Sony (and the hardware).

The lack of HD channel support is a killer though. Not worth its weight in scrap metal until the HD update is released.

Way to kill a product, Sony. Well done.

I'm not surprised in the slightest.
