    PS3: Best racing game?

    Hey there.

Not having played any myself, what do people recommend as the best racing game?

GT5P sounds good, but obviously only the 'lite' version of the full one.

I've read some dodgy reviews of Grid, and worse ones of Ridge Racer 7.

    Dirt seems ok?

    What should I go for?

I've played Prologue (albeit in a racing seat with a high-end Logitech wheel) and it was freakin' fantastic. Highly recommended. Forget RR, unless you like arcade style racing...

    Ridge Racer is awful.

Dirt is great, but has arcade-racer feel (don't buy it if you're expecting a sim)... the same goes for GRID.

GT5P is probably the best of the bunch at the moment, but F1CE is fantastic too if you're into the F1.

    Cool, thanks for that.

I was leaning towards GT5, so might kick off with with that...

Flatout 2 is actually a lot of fun - great smash-em-up arcade racer.

Burnout paradise is also much fun, and is getting motorbikes in the next update, and potentially planes in the one after that.

yeh I'd definately recommend Burnout Paradise ... updates from the company that makes it seem to be going nuts with what they want the game to do!!!
Split a piece of wood and I am there, lift a stone and you will find me.

Ah forgot about Burnout. Definately get Burnout Paradise, even if you get GT5P. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd actually go for Burnout (although it's as far from sim as you can get, so it depends what you're into).
