    PS3 DualShock 3.

For those who've not been keeping track of the PS3 DS3 coming out in Australia soon, would probably not realise it's already out in Asia.

At this stage, Rec has probably already supplied himself with them, however, I thought I'd just mention my little review of them.

They arrived about an hour ago, and I'm please to say, they've got their 'weight' back. For those who've used the six axis and hated the shitty feel of them, these are substantially better, and they're actually built sturdier.

A full usage review will come tonight after trying them on GT5.

Sam (Formula1) has had a couple for a while now, purcchased via PlayAsia. Little bit more weight to them, which is good I think, because the standard SIXAXIS feels like a cheap shitty toy.

Still, they haven't fixed any of the design flaws which makes it awkward and uncomfortable... *strokes beautiful 360 controller.

you need to invest in a cheap 'throwing controller', so that when you fail miserably, you pick it up and launch that, instead of the working one.

They've fixed one major flaw in my two Sixaxis controllers though. That is them getting 'stuck' while transmitting signal...

Driving into the wall on the final lap in first place (barely) isn't much fun, because the controller decides it wants to have a quick break.

After a bit of playing last night, I have to say, the controller is improved all be it, the same as the last ones (in shape). Six Axis is still carried across, not that I ever used it, (buggy as hell), but the weight and the general build feels much more solid.

I personally never use the dpad, and everything else about the controller is better. So it's a hands-down arse kicking over the SIXAXIS/Dual Shock 3 in my opinion, based on my use.

The only reason the 360 d-pad is shit, is because all the good designs are patented by sony/nintendo....

ya tis true. They didn't have to go with the ****arse d-pad or indented knobsticks though.
