    not to mention its a damn cheap way to watch and rip hd-dvd's on your PC
    hell its even a pretty cheap external dvd drive in general

    Because I'm not interested in having a hd-dvd player, hd-dvd movies, a blu-ray player AND blu-ray movies.

    Blu-ray is the one to have, so I'll just wait for that.

    I sold all of my cds/dvds almost a year ago. No media in the house, only on my hard-drive.

    just want to say that for all 360 owners - just the universal remote control that you get with the hd-dvd drive is well worth the $49.95 - especially if you dont have a remote yet

    it is much longer and thinner than the original, has universal ability for your tv, and ALL the buttons light up, no stupid glow in the dark bs or only a couple of buttons

    the thing looks awesome at night

    man i am loving hd-dvd fire sales.
    just went and picked up another 6 hd-dvd's for about 50 bucks
    serenity in 1080p ftw
    they had the blu-ray equivalents on the other wall for 40 bucks each lol

    i also ordered star trek the original series remastered on hd-dvd -
