Vista Installation probs
Loads up, goes through its usual thing, I get to the "Where do you want to install Windows" page, has my 3 HDD's there, and when I goto install to them says "Windows cannot find a system volume suitable to installation criteria" or something, then it has some find drivers thing there. Whats up with it?
Edit: Now my XP installations saying their not valid partitions when their NTFS... Odd.

ah vista. nothing quite like the fun
format the drive? at the load drivers stage try running your motherboard cd and installing your sata drivers, yes you can take the windows cd out and put it back and continue on

I had this exact problem, tried everything, tried reformatting, tried fdisk, tried reformatting in another machine, tried 3 different versions of the raid drivers...in the end the only way I could get it to work was to plug the drive in by itself and then install windows and then plug the other drives back in when its finished.
It seems to be a bug in the windows installer and from what I can tell it has something to do with AHCI controllers as I never had this issue with my controller set to IDE mode.

I followed Sonicks steps, worked heaps well, handed it over to r00t|{it and somehow he managed to get it working. He has some sort of secret...

Basicaly what it is, Vista likes to have a Clean, formatted HDD, and you gotta Disconnect your other HD's and have only the one there. Gotta Delete the Partition, make a new partition, format it and then it should work.
