Ram Problems

So I bought some RAM today, basicaly "Corsair 2x1gb 800mh Dual-channel".

I've tried putting it into my Computer every kind of way, and my computer won't boot up. I've taken out the Corsair Ram and just tried it with only my old RAM and it boots up fine. Dunno what the problem is, and my MB does support DDR2 800mh+, and I'm out of ideas why its not working.

Starting to think its faulty maybe, any ideas?

I assume by all different ways you mean you've tried just with the new ram, and with 1 stick at a time (try both sticks one at a time).
Could be a bios setting. Put your old ram in and have a look around.

Tell your MB to run the RAM at its clock speed. See how you go there. Also, are you putting it in WITHOUT your old RAM in there too? If not, try that.

What do you mean 'every kind of way'? I hope there was nothing untoward going on between you and your PC. :P

what board are you using? U bought that from my store I can see the sticker. If it gives you too much trouble bring it in and I'll sort it out for you. That stuff is rated for 4-4-4-12 2.1v haven't had any issues with it in the past except in a gigabyte EP43-DS3L zomg I don't even wanna go there again

I've checked out the bios settings, nothing wrong there.

My boards a GA-M55SLI-S4 Gigabyte. I'm just gonna bring the Ram in tomorrow around maybe 10 or 11 if your in |{it.

Edit: I'm thinking its a compatability issue, cause a while back I had a Radeon card that didn't work in one of my old Gigabyte MBoards.

Paladin, you might need to get your Knight of Nih vaccine booster shot.
