Thought I might post this in an attempt to stirr up some heated discussion...

There's a good reason why laws are founded in religious beliefs.
It's because religion governs those that cannot govern themselves. Laws inherit the structure and are reinforced by said system.

If they were founded on sensibilities, the gay marriage debate wouldn't even exist.
