well.. there was that car bomber in iraq about a year into the current war... the one tha blew himself up driving over a pothole rather than at the embassy he was heading towards

In the Sunday Territorian news paper today they had a brief article about Paintball. They said not to hold your breath over paintball being made legal in the NT, the NT Police are opposed to it. They said a close range hit from a paintball is the same as being struck by a .22 projectile. I say what a load of rubbish!
I was recently in WA and played paintball in the Swan Valley what a fantastic day out! Sure I had welts all over me at the end of the day, but I knew the risks and played anyway. I even took a few shots at close range and I still survived? How about that?
Has my paintball experience made me a raging killer out for blood? No, I am the same person.

The Government really should just back the hell off and stop wrapping us all in cotton wool. Legalise Paintball, Darwin is in desperate need of entertainment. This town is pathetic!

equivalent to a .22 ? what the **** paintbals are they using? Fields limit muzzle velocity to a maximum of 350 feet per second, a .22 can be anywhere from 350 to 1750fps - sure the lowend .22 market has the same muzzle velocity (noting of course that the falloff rate is much lower in a bullet than round ball) ... no mention of the fact a .22 fires a solid metal round whereas a paintgun fires liquid coated in 1ml of solidifed gel. Do our head coppers not have a clue about elementary physics or what?

I can swing a ruler at the same speed as i can swing a knife.. does that mean you shouldnt be allowed to carry rulers around the streets too?
