Play-asia.com are quoting a 5-15 day period before dispatch, which will more than likely be closer to 30 days - the news direct from Hori is that no HRAP 3's of any kind will be available until the end of August due to high demand/manufacturing shortages.
However, for those of you considering buying one (Brain/Jay), there'a a private seller on the SRK forums who has 7 new and sealed units for sale. You need to create an account and wait for your account to be fully approved before you can see their Trading Post forum, however. He has great feedback from SRK members, so I've just gone and ordered 2 from him (they're the new white Amazon Versions) which turned out cheaper than any HRAP 3 + shipping available through any online website (marginally). He's sending them off on Wednesday and with any luck they'll be here the following Friday (6 business days shippng ime). If you want one before September, get in quick as I think he only has 2 left after my order.

Just a heads for for anyone reading this who plans to mod; I just ordered 8 white Sanwa buttons to match the white Sanwa stick and replace the Hori ones that come installed in the standard HRAP 3 and HRAP 3: AV.
I ended up using Akihabarashop.jp - including shipping they're no cheaper than alternative stores even as far as the UK, but due to them being situated in Japan stock is readily available. Gremlin Solutions (UK), as an example, only process Sanwa/Seimitsu part orders at the end of every month due to them needing to order it from Japan themselves - instead of getting stuff in order-by-order, they get everything delivered in a single monthly order, and then send it out to their customers. Oh and if anyone's curious, the Sanwa buttons you need are OBSF-30. There are longer lasting buttons called OBSF-30RG's, but have lengthier switches (needing more clearance inside your panel). They'll will fit inside any HRAP, but apparenbtly the normal OBSF30's last 2 years with punishment, so longer lasting ones aren't neccessary for most gamers.

The black ones are likely to be discontineud. Play Asia e-mailed me saying they don't think they're able to get them back in. The white ones have been confirmed by Hori, a large shipment, but Hori were unable to provide Play Asia with any date when stock may be available.
