Aftermath

Well It was a fun but small lan..

All it needed to make it perfect was a few more people

Got alot of desert combat happening, and then some generals which was fun

Also there was some fast frantic quake 3 played at the end..

I also saw a few games of UT2003 being played... If I had it on my system I woulda joined in.. that game is so much fun

anyways, Hopefull the anzac day weekend one will be a bit more large, and just as fun

I had lots of fun at our first lan.

I think everyone who turned up did too.

We're planning to hold the next one on the ANZAC day weekend, which is in a fortnight. Hopefully we will finalise it in the next few days, so that there will be more time to register. We have also discussed changing the time to perhaps 4pm-4pm, so as to give people more playing time on the "second day", as it were.

We will also ask the Student Union to let us use the pool table and table-tennis table that are present. BrAiN DaNcE has made noises about bringing his Xbox along to play on the big widescreen TV which is in the room.

The airconditioning was excellent, the power was ample and many-plugged, and the network held up well, although we might need to look at getting a better master-switch - my little 8-port isn't quite up to the task.

Although we made a loss on paper, Steven "the-man-with-the-LAN" Garstone and myself were very pleased that it all went well and without any hitches or dramas. We sold oodles of $1 soft drinks and all of our sausages and all of our bread was enjoyed at our free BBQ.

I am personally really looking forward to the next Freedom LAN, and I hope to see even more people there!

Sorry I couldnt make it El Presidente I was on call all weekend.

my mates...well, I dont know where they ended up...my lil lan pack seems to have dissapated a lil bit.

Anyway, have the family spotting up this weekend, so that to will consume more valuable leisure time....

......the big thumb is coming.....dont know when you'll see me again???

Hmm a non cs lan sounds good to me to but i don't have any other games that are played and have non money to buy them

Thanks for the lan. Played DC pretty much the whole time , Just need even more people next time for even better games.
