About AUD $55 each way on the train, and AUD $55 a night for accommodation... traveling to France is a lot cheaper when you're only 340km away (half the distance from Adelaide to Melbourne).
Even including the cost of my move to London (AUD $1150), I'll make my money back in no time with the money I'll be saving on beer!

That's still outrageous.
A 330ml Chimay Bleu is AUD $8 at Dan Murphy's, and AUD $4.20 at my local ASDA in London. Haven't seen the prices for it here in Paris - will be sure to report back. Unless you're talking about the 750ml Grand Reserve? But that's usually about $21 at Dan Murphy's so I doubt it.
