Jasmin Indian Restaurant Adelaide
Jasmin Indian Restaurant - Home
Anyone else local eaten there? I went there last night for the first time ever and it quickly became my favourite Indian resteraunt in Adelaide. I had previously been a huge fan of Beyond India, mainly due to the diversity and quality of their menu. Jasmin had the food, and then took the lead with an amazing dining atmosphere and kick-arse service. Widly impressive art is placed along each wall, with many Indian ornaments on mantle pieces and protruding ledges. The lighting is dim and mellow, making you feel warm and comfortable immediately. The furniture fits right in with rich mahogany-like colours, an everything is spaced well enough to keep things intimate. Testemant to the food is the fact that the Indian cricket team eats here when in Adelaide for matches. Regular table service for top-ups and queries on our meal were most welcomed, the food was simply spectacular, and they even have Hoegaarden on the beer list. The wine list is sensational - it's a long, long list of quality stuff. Not cheap, but swimming in awards, and one of the finest dining experiences I've had in South Australia, or anywhere in Australia, for that matter.

$20-$25 for a main, on average. Which is semi-expensive for Adelaide, but semi-cheap if you live in most other capital cities by comparison.
Their full menu is here... Menu - Jasmin Indian Restaurant

just ate at the local indian place (punjab), sensational food. buffet night so my meal went something like: naan + papadams, butter chicken & rice, beef korma & rice, lamb rogan josh & rice and finished it off with a beef vindaloo with... yep, rice. and then mopped the plate with more naan.
then i had to be rolled out the door, but well worth it. incidentally buffet price is $29, mains are around $17-20, rice extra.

You know your in Adelaides best Indian restaurant when you are having dinner with the entire Indian cricket team as happened to me and Nismo last time India toured Australia.
