Review: Hoegaarden's Forbidden Fruit (Verboden Vrucht)
Belgian Red Ale (Strong Ale... whatever).
I don't know anything about beer and I won't insult the masses by trying to be some sort of boutique beer god. Its like, Dark red in colour. The frothy bit (the head, I think) is like, a nice colour... and frothy. Tastes like fruit and... erm, sweet stuff. Dry, but not overly so. This beer has converted me. I was pretty much a straight up Lager only (asahi, stella etc) drinker until this little number came along. Highly recommended. Now, to find it in Darwin... |

You have taken the first step, my son. I too thought very highly of the Forbidden Fruit. My review:
- Leffe Vieille Cuvee - Pauwel Kwak - Gouden Carolus Classic - Gulden Draak
