$2500 for case of beer?
Coopers Vintage Ale, first ever release (first batch 1998).
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/COOPERS-VINTA...8250QQihZ016QQ If it has been stored right it'd be damn brilliant, apparently... It's one of my favourite Australian beers, but this wouldn't be worth the $2430 price difference regardless. Instead I'll go buy a latest release for $70. ;) For interests sake, it seems cases from 2002 are going for around $500.

It's generally highly underrated in my opinion. For interests sake, here are a couple reviews of this beer from a couple of highly respected food & bev writers...
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile...ba=NeroFiddled (2732 brews consumed) http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/491/3624/?ba=Jason (1990 brews consumed) Keeping in mind, Vintage Ale can (and has) varied greatly from season to season.

I wouldn't pay that kind of money.... not when the 2007 is drinking soooo good now.

I whole-heartedly agree! New season of Vintage is brilliant.
