Yes, this is another scotch post. However its not a what to buy, its a go and buy post.
Bought the Glenrothes - Select Reserve for dad for fathers day and had a try last week with him.
I gotta say, for the 65-70 buck price tag this is by far one of the best scotches I've tried so far, if not the best. Its quite smooth in comparison some other Speyside scotches Ive had. Nice and malty and slightly sweet. It shouldnt burn ye throat at all. This scotch has a great colour to it.
So far I'm still not the person to drink my scotch straight unless I'm in the right mood, so I had this one with a couple of ice cubes.
I've got to mention aswell, the way they package this scotch is a nice finishing touch to a product I havent seen in a while. Simple, plain and a nice looking bottle in ofcourse, a simple plain cardboard packaging.
Personally i don't know if you can get a 10/10 scotch, so I'll be putting this one down as a 9/10.
