Another extremely well rounded Tripel, but unfortunately doesn't have much on the Westmalle I tried just days ago.
A bronze pour leaves a foamy head that continues to lace the glass as you drink. Its smell and taste are dominated by spice predominantly, which definately isn't a bad thing in this case. It's smooth and creamy with a yeasty aftertaste and a hint of hop bittnerness. It's actually really very refreshing and drinkable - a perfect way for someone to get into Belgian beer if they're not familiar with the strikingly bold flavour most brews present. It'll set you back about $8 a stubby at your local Dan Murphy's or 1st Choice Liqor. http://img20.photobucket.com/albums/...ffe/chimay.jpg

Just a hobby - but if I ever get to drink beer for a living, I'll be sure to let you know. :P
Some of the 330ml bottles head up towards the $15 range when from Belgium, so it's not bad. Best value for money is the Leffe range at around $5 a stubby though.
