While I know I'll be totally shit and rarely play it, I'm actually far more excited about this than I am any of the upcoming FPS titles. Not because I'll enjoy it more, just because of how iconic StarCraft has been to me and my appreciation for its brilliance despite my disinterest in RTS... Many fond memories playing modem-to-modem matches back when I was 13. So cool!

StarCraft didn't have zoom. But yes, SC2 has zoom, like the "other SC."

I just installed Brood Wars again. And QuakeWorld Team Fortress. And 20GB of MAME emulators... and Neverwinter Nights is about to go on. I'm going all out nostalgic-gaming until TF2/ETQW arrives. :)

damn, finally got round to watching the gameplay movie - that looks frickin awesome - beautiful use of 3d - not 3d for 3d's sakes, but to enhance the feel of the game. Looks like a very worthy successor to the original. But I miss my carriers -hope they're in this one.
