More Bad Company 2 master server problems

Attachment 6605During the night DICE were tweeting away, keeping the community informed about yet another major Bad Company 2 server outage. "All teams are actively engaged in diagnosis and remediation" we were told. Additional services are being added to help spread the load, but it's noted that "despite having a major infrastructure in place, the peak traffic this weekend has been huge, 400% higher than any other Battlefield's peak simultaneous users."

I guess that's kind of cool though, right? On the Battlefield blog, adding to this 'we are so awesome we can't handle it' sentiment is mention that "Battlefield Bad Company 2 has managed to prove so popular that yesterday the concurrent users in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 surpassed that in Battlefield 2 which has been going strong for almost 5 years." Oh and by the way, the PC user-base for BC2 is bigger than both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 individually.

Yeah i managed to actually get into a server last night for the 2nd time in total and thats when those servers went down. Hooray!

So does that mean they will be able to rectify the Server issues ?????? this time.
It would be nice for the server browser to actually work, favourites to actually save yada yada yada.
Funnily enough i found the Beta to be more stable even before they did the patch for the server browser.
So far I have experienced almost all of the issue at least once as I am sure many others have..........Oh and by the way what happened to our day 1 unlocks for pre purchase and battlefields.
Still having a blast, daughter was on most of yesterday and thought it was great but it could be so much better..

All we're talking about here is stability and uptime.

Actual improvements to the way things operate at our end probably won't be seen in the immediate future. Expect a big patch sometime over the next few weeks.

As for your day 1 unlocks; you need to put in the second key Steam has provided you.

I have the garand - got it automatically thanks to my veteran rank of 1.

yeah it lists for me in the weapons stats, but i can't equip it in the game itself :/

Hmm wondered why their were two keys at start up will have a look.
Actually it says I have two keys, When I view CD Key it says i have the MP key and Promo key..any tricks I need to know?

enter the promo key into your MP menu REDEEM KEY thingy - but i did that and nadda.

Finally, need to include the - , Didnt give me the garand but did get lots of other stuff, M1 Thompson, ammo packs laser target etc

I got it too; but now it doesn't show up in -game anymore.
