Street Fighter IV for iPhone revealed

IGN have set fighting fans alight with anxious curiosity revealing an exclusive scoop on Street Fighter IV coming to the iPhone. But not the hardcore fighters, of course. They think the idea is kind of a bad joke.

There is some real promise, though. As the article explains, "this is no quickie, banged-out port. Capcom has taken months to come up with suitable controls for a platform with no physical buttons, employing a virtual pad and move buttons to recreate the arcade stick right on the touchscreen."

The game retains the art direction taken for console and PC release - apparently derived from current-gen code. Of course, multiplayer support is a hot topic, and we can expect to have some battles over Bluetooth. It's a shame over-net support hasn't been mentioned, so fingers crossed for an update with that.
