About Gamers Underground

In 1999, the community you now recognise as Gamers Underground was established as Gamers @ Octa4, an ISP-hosted resource aimed at the local Darwin gaming demographic. Since then, it has grown and much has changed, but our endevour to create and maintain a fun-filled and friendly community that encourages respect and maturity remains persistant.

On behalf of GU founders Dan "OverDrive" Crane and Jamie "rec" Skella, the entire Gamers-Underground team would like to extend our gratitude in light of having so many of you join us on our endevour in passing years, and we look forward to continuing to provide you with games servers to play on, a website to call home and new friendships as we expand.

Founding Staff

Dan "OverDrive" Crane began developing Gamers @ Octa4 in 1999 during his time working for the Darwin based ISP, launching games servers, a bulletin board and a news page.

Jamie "rec" Skella joined Dan in 2000 to lend his expertise in design and help promote the community and its services using his position in the Australian gaming industry as leverage.
